The Experience

Hello, today I´m going to write about the blogs that I made here. This semester has been a little bit Short (the way like I seen it at least), I felt that first semester was too long, and this time that wasn´t like I felt it in the past. I guess that I´m straying a little from the topic of today, now, let’s talk about blogs!

About the enjoy of the blog experience, I enjoyed it, I think that the writing of a different topic once a week It´s a good way to star to practice the English writing, but there´s one thing that I didn´t enjoy about this, there´s not about the class per se, but, The trip to get here at eight and a half in the morning, from Puente Alto to Santiago Centro it´s difficult, the bus and the subway are a little stressful, But there´s times when we could write the blog in our homes,  and I felt that way like a valid way to write too, I don’t know, that´s my feeling.

The blog  that I enjoyed the most was the one of The thing that passionate me, that blog makes me remember  why I like too much Music and all the doors that music have open to me, In addition, the blog that I least enjoyed ( And a blog that never came out.. sorry about that xd ) , was the blog of fiestas patrias, not for the topic, but, the day that we wrote it I wasn’t sleep  and I couldn´t write it.

The most difficult blog I guess that was the First one, the one of the Great holiday, actually my memory isn´t really good, so it wasn´t too difficult for me to talk about something that happened like a couple of years ago, but was a good blog too anyways c: .

Finally, the blog ( or blogs) that I like most reading were the one´s of my friend Jesus or the ones of my friend Luna, the Write really good

A city that I want to visit

Hello, in this blog I`m going to write about travels, and about an specify travel that I want to make in a couple more of years.

I would like to visit Rome, on Italy, for some reasons, I feel attracted by that city since I was young (well, younger than now at least ) , I saw that city in a lot of movies and a lot of games, and I want to know the city by my own to explore it and see all the interesting things that this city could give me.

First of all,  I would like to go there for his architecture, visit the Roman Coliseum is one of things that I want to make once in my life at least, and Make croquis of theme and the place around theme, besides, there`s another places in Rome that are very interesting too, Rome is a city with too much historic architectural constructions in the world, It was declared like world heritage for that reasons.

I would like to go there for the food too, I love Italian food since I was a child, and I would like to taste them made by a really Italian chef.

I would like to go there with my family if it was for holidays that could be a very nice holyday, but, If sometime I had to go there to study or work in some architecture competition, I would enjoy that trip anyway.

A meal

Hello, today I´m going to talk about a topic not so interesting but with too much meaning for some persons, who doesn´t remember the first time that eat their favorite food?, or the that date when you went to eat or drink something with that special person?, or that Christmas meal when you received that toy that you were waiting for months and Santa Claus bring it to you that night?

Well, today I´m going to write about meals, and I´m going to tell you about some meals that I remember. I couldn´t tell you about a certain time, like, "That night on winter when, after a long day in the university I went to home and eat and instant soup that makes me feel better…", No, not this time.

I´m going to write about the meals with my ( a little bit broken) family, when I was six years old my parents get divorced, and that meant that I could see my dad just on weekends, and in that weekends we went to different places, like parks and sites like that, and then we went to eat our favorite food in that time... CHINISE FOOD!, that thing was delicious, I remember that meals fondly, not for the flavor or something, I remember that meals for the time that I had with my dad, And that are very nice memories for me.

In addition to that, I remember two moments besides of that, my mom in that time worked too much and I had to stay in my grandparents’ home like all the day (the days when she worked obviously), My grandmother prepares delicious food, and I helped her sometimes, and apart from that, after the divorce and after the studies of my mom, a man arrived to our home, that person, my mother´s boyfriend, he´s a nice guy, he doesn´t cook really good, but, he makes efforts to make good food for me and my mom, I remember all the times with my mom and him, the Christmas meals and the new year meals too, and obviously when we have time, The times when my mother, me and stepfather get a meal together

A friend

Hello , in this blog I’m going to talk about a friend, but first of all, it's incredible how long a friendship can still being a friendship (well, in certain cases at least).

The person who I'm going to talk today it's called Francisco Puentes, but everyone calls him "XOXO" (chocho, I really don't know why ) , I knew him in my first day of school , when we had like five or six years old, in that time we were friends like every kid of that years, but, in fourth grade he was transferred to another school of there, And i think that I would never see him again; but, in a unexpected twist of life, We went to the same Preuniversitary ( that reencounter was really unexpected for me ), and since that moment, we talked each other sometimes, there's some times when we went out to buy something or eat something, and  I enjoy that moments with him.

In the time when he was transferred he grow up like me and he start to play  music ( a topic that both enjoy), He plays jazz in a contrabass, and play another kind of instruments just like me, but we never have played together :c.

Now, in the university, He is studying Engineering on University of Santiago de Chile, and we don’t have time to went out together, but I hope change that situation soon.

The last time we went out (like before the start of university) we take a photo together, I will leave it here.

A Chilean Building

Hello today, in this blog, I would like to talk of a Building here in Chile, It's called "Centro de innovación Anacleto Angelini" , A building placed on Campus San Joaquin of Catholic university of Chile, It was Projected by Alejandro Aravena, a famous Chilean architect, winner of a Pritzker on Two thousand and sixteen.

I have visited this building in a pair of times, but I just entered once. In the past semester, one of the works we received was go to Campus San Joaquin to make croquis of certain buildings there, and the "Centro de Innovacion" was there, I remember that I went there like six times In two weeks to complete the croquis, and the last day, when we had to show our work; in the morning of that day, I entered to that building, It was really different of the inside that I imagine, The building wasn't really big inside, but was nice anyway. An extra fact of this building is that, for his ubication it could be seen from the Metro between the San Joaquin station to Camino Agricola station.

I like this building for certain things , first of all, the form of the building is interesting, the material for his construction, the process to build, the idea for the construction, although the idea was really quite simple (cut, move and replace parts of a big cube) , it was  a great idea and make the build very nice to see, In addition to that , the building has a minimal waste of energy, Is one of the most efficient buildings in Chile.

Something that passionate me.

Today, I will write about something really important for me, something that goes with me to anywhere, the music.

It could sound like something that anyone would say, music is company for too much people, but i feel it like something (for me at least) is more important.

Everything start when I was a kid, my parents get divorced when I was four years old, and that made that the relationship Father-Son with my dad were limited to could see him on the weekend and vacations, anyway, in the time when I could be with him, we listen to different types of music, like, rock, or metal, or different styles, We used to sing and play guitar, but, when I was a child I only could sing and my dad played the guitar, that was something really important for me in that time.

When I grow up, like twelve years old, I started to learn about some instruments and how to play it, first of all I learnt to play guitar, then bass and then more instruments, and with that knowledge, me and my dad could play together and sing together too. Then I started to participate in some music workshops in my school, where I learnt more, and that was a time that i will never forget.

Music makes me fell complete, is with me when I work for the university, when I’m going to FAU, even when I’m writing this, and I think is something that never going to leave me.

A great holiday.

Today I'm going to write about one of my favorite place ever, where I had a very good holiday. It was two or three years ago I guess (I don't remember it exactly), my dad told me about a trip that one of my uncles was preparing to Coquimbo, a beautiful city with nice weather that I like too much. He told me to go there, and I accepted, that moment was too exciting for me because I had nice memories of a past trip to Coquimbo, and make a trip there again made me feel happy in that moment.Me, my dad, his wife and my uncle went to Coquimbo some days later, I remember that we went there in a very tiny car, so we have to made very stops on the road to move our legs ( eight or nine hours without moving inside a car are not too much enjoyable ), anyways, after nine hours of traveling we arrived to Coquimbo, my uncle before the trip rented a department closer to the beach for a week , with a nice pool and a room only for myself. after we installed we went to buy food for the week on a nearly supermarket to get prepared for our stay.

In Coquimbo you can make too much things, there’s a city called La Serena, it seems like both cities were only one , and that cities has very different activities, like visit La Serena's light house, or the third millennium cross on Coquimbo, or even visit all the different beach that the city has, that kind of activities we made in that trip.

I enjoyed that holidays because I could spend great moments with my dad, and visit too much places of one of the beautiful cities that i ever knew. I think that a trip to Coquimbo it's very close.

A Family Photograph

Hello everyone, today I'm going to write about a photograph of my family, a photo of my last vacation, this photo was taken like 3 weeks ago, me and my family were in Salto del Petrohué in Puerto Montt, that day was the last day of our vacations there, I think that we could meet more places, but we didn’t make the most of our time there, I really want to go again.

The people that appears in the photograph are a certain part of my family, me (left-hand side), my mom at my side, my aunt (her sister) at her side, and my uncle my mom’s brother, at right hand side), In Puerto Montt the weather is too cold, that makes that all of us worn too much clothes to keep warm.

I like this photograph because makes me remind that days in Puerto Montt, in addition, the background of the photo, with Osorno’s Volcano, the rocks, the Petrohué river and all the vegetation of that place, makes a good looking photograph, that trip was too relaxing and I could meet very places that I've never seen before, places that I want to see again soon in a next trip to the south part of my country.

My Hobbies

Today I'm going to talk about two of my favorite hobbies, Music and Magic.

I started to play music when I was twelve years old, In that time, in my school the Music teacher made a group of children that wanted to learn to play instruments, there I started to learn to play guitar, and with time, dedication and practice I have improved my skills, and with the time I have learned to play another instruments like Bass, Ukulele, and a little bit of drums and piano. About Magic. I just started like nine months ago, and i have learned different tricks in this time, but there's too much to improve with practice.

I Started to Play music because my dad and my uncles play different instruments, and I wanted to be part of them playing music too. And I started with magic because a partner of my class was playing with a deck of cards doing some shuffles and some tricks. I see it and I thought "I want to learn that" and then I bought my first deck of cards and I started to learn.

For music, obviously you need equipment, because you can’t play if you don't have the instrument, but if you play beatbox you only need your mouth, you can do it in your house, on the street, everywhere and you can do it with other people, that’s a nice thing in this hobbies. For magic, you need some more specific things like the deck of cards and something more that I can't say

I like music because I can express myself playing it, I can express that I’m happy or that I’m sad, I can do beautiful sounds that makes me feel better and it's something that I know I can't lose and always going to be there. And I like magic because is an activity that makes people believe in impossible things, that makes me happy and  makes people happy too, that’s what I like of this hobbies.

-What you think about the experience in general?

About the experience on this class, I think that it was gratifying, because the blog's exercise it's a very good way to improve our skills, and the topics of each blog were too different, that made that the blogs were funny to read and comment with my class partners.

-How much you feel your writing skills have developed?

I feel that my writing skills have improved too much since the beginning of this class, i feel that my vocabulary improved too. In certain blogs i tried to add some new words that i didn´t know before, and that makes improve my English vocabulary.

-What you would like to include in the future?

Something that I would like to include in the future could be some activities out of a simply blog on a computer, I mean, a blog, but, outside of a pc. Something like, an actuation of a blog, someone tells the story of the blog during another person’s act the thing that happen in the story. I think it could be funny.

-What else you would like to write about?

For a next blog I would like to write about something related with architecture, about someone important in this topic, or something related with magic, or music, or comics,


That it's all that I want to say about this class, I think that Ronda is a good teacher and my partners are very nice, and I’m happy to know them here.

Plataforma Arquitectura is a translated version of the English website called Archdaily, on this website you can find everything about projects, news, events and the most important things related to the architecture of these days. if you want to know about some project or anything related with architecture, some architect or some company or architect’s studio, everything translated to Spanish, this website is for you,

This website has a lot of sections, about the projects, news, articles, products, interviews, events and more, every section has an own page on the site, that makes an intuitive and easy way to explore the site. I visit this website not more often, but usually when I need to investigate for some project or if I simply want to read about some interesting new project or another topic related with architecture. I like this site because always has the most actual news about my career and it has always something interesting to read.

Why I couldn't come to class

Everything starts when I was going to class, I was waiting the bus, and, everything change there, a car stopped in front of the bus, that makes that the bus and the car get crashed each other, or that was something that I thought, I closed my eyes, waiting for the sound of the crash, but then I realized that the car and the bus wasn't there , I look around and the I look to the sky, the bus was above a man who was flying and the car was linked to a plane in form of a bat that was flying to the skies, I thought " what the hell is happening?!" , and then I realized that the persons who saves the bus and the car , believe it or not, that persons were Batman and Superman, then, they put down the vehicles  and Superman told me "Hello boy, are you surprised?", I couldn't say anything more than "oh yeah, but, I need to go to the university, Ronda is waiting for us" , then Batman said "oh, Ronda Haverland? She is a really friend of mine, I’m going to talk with her, you can't go to her class today, we need you to be part of the justice league for today", that was the most amazing thing that ever happened to me, an irreplaceable opportunity, that’s why I said, "let's go guys", and Batman put me on the Bat-Plane and we travel all that day with two of my favorite superheroes.

A photograph i like.

My cousin took this picture back in February 2017 in San Sebastian Beach in our last trip before I enter to University of Chile. In particular I really like this picture because that time was very peaceful, a time when I travel with my mother, my cousins and my grandparents. In that trip I could rest too much of the city life and all the things that comes with it, the sound of cars, trucks, the public transport, all the acoustic contamination of Santiago wasn´t there. And I miss that time.

I like trips, I like to visit places, I’m a person who loves to travel and visit different places, in fact, I just had planned to travel to very much places with my family and my friends. At these days I haven't been to many places in  my country and obviously haven't been to many places in the world, but that will change soon. And I will photograph every trip in the future.

Why is this film important to you?

This film is important to me because it talks about superation, talks about never give up, and how parents can do everything for there sons, and is very important for my situation the first time i seen it, me and my mother went out from my father's house, and my mother did the most as possible to give me the things i needed, the same as the main character of the film

Why do you think other people should watch it?

I think that other people should watch it because is an amazing movie in too much senses, the music, the story, the interpretation of Will Smith is one of the best interpretations that i've seen in my life, and i think that the relationship between Will and Jaden Smith makes the sense of the movie more realistic because in the reality they are father and son like the main characters in the movie. and that makes that the movie touch inside of you, because you feel everything that Chris Gardner (Will Smith) feels on the movie.

Writing about technology

The first time that I get one of this gadgets was when I had six years old, my mom gave it to me for my birthday but I didn’t use it for some six years i think.

I use it in different ways, I can put it in my legs, or put it in my back, there´s many different ways to use it.

It has some important parts, like some strings that produce certain notes and a box that amplifies the sound of the strings.

Before the university I used that gadget every day, but with the university I can´t use it too much.

i like it because i can feel the vibration of the strings when i use it and make beautiful melodies.

If i don´t have it in my life i think that it would be very different because that gadget is my favorite thing in the world and I would never left it.

• In the begining, when i was 3 or 4 years, i just wanted to be a firefighter, i really loved the idea of save people of buildings on fire, but my family always told me that it was very dangerous , so i decided that i wanted to be something else.
  
  My friends and family always told me that i would study certain careers , for example, my parents told me that i would study a medicine or nursery career, or maybe something about laws, or something related with english, but, in certain moment, when i was 15 years old, i just decided about architecture.
  
  I decide to study architecture because i have a cousin and he is an architect, i just looked at him making planes and models, i just though that it would be difficult because it would take too much time , but i can not  negate that when i saw him and his work i just thought that i wanted to do the same thing in my life.
  
  My experience at the university until now has been very good, even if we think about the bad grades that you take in the begginning, that grades really make you feel bad because your effort was not enough. but, this career certainly is about trial and error, and , in some moment you will improve and all wll improve too.
  
  When i finish this career, i would like to have a job related to architecture (even if we study something, that does not mean that we will work on it, not in this country at least)
  maybe work with my cousin, doing projects, designing buildings, or houses, or even establish my own architecture office, i think that it is a goal that i want to achieve.

He has 3 dogs and a cat, and dances some type of music called "jumpstyle".
